Airman and Family Division: Airman and Family Readiness, Retiree Services and Air Force Resilience Operations

The Secretary of the Air Force’s priority to “Take Care of Airmen” drives the Airman and Family Division’s (AFPC/DPFF) mission to provide unequaled operational oversight to 76 active duty Airman and Family Readiness Centers, offering programs and services in 15 core areas to nearly 1.7 million Airmen and families. The division also provides guidance to Retiree Affairs Offices, supporting nearly 700,000 retirees worldwide, conducts background research on Foreign Government Employment applicants and responds to Board of Corrections for Military Records requests regarding Survivor Benefit Entitlements.

In addition, the Comprehensive Airman Fitness Operations section operationalizes AF CAF policy, manages logistics and develops/reviews curriculum for the Master Resilience Trainer Course, along with tracking the progress of Master Resilience and Readiness Assistant Trainers (MRT/RTA).

A recent Air Force Posture Statement stated, “We will take care of our incredible Airmen and protect our most important family programs by continuing to fully fund Military Tuition Assistance, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response programs, and Airman and Family Readiness Centers.”  Thanks to this senior leader stance on family programs, the outstanding support of AFPC leadership, and the inexhaustible efforts of our DPFF team comprised of nearly 30 subject matter experts, AFPC/DPFF will continue to lead the charge of building resilient families and ensuring a mission-ready force.
