Air Force officials are currently seeking nominations for the 2018 Spirit of Hope Award.

The award, named after comedian and actor Bob Hope, is presented for outstanding service to military members, former military members, civilians or organization that reflect the patriotism and service epitomized by the late celebrity.

Each major command, combatant command, field operating agency and direct reporting unit may submit one nomination exhibiting the following criteria:

- Epitomizes the values of Hope: duty, honor, courage, loyalty, commitment, integrity and selfless dedication.

- Significantly enhances the quality of life of service members and their families’ service around the world.

- Selflessly contributes an extraordinary amount of time, talent or resources to benefit Air Force members.

Organizations and base-level personnel must contact their MAJCOM, COCOM, FOA or DRU for applicable suspense dates and nomination procedures. All nominations are due to the Air Force’s Personnel Center by Feb. 20, 2018.
