In order to compete for promotion, the member must be eligible and his/her record must be weighable. The Data Verification Record (DVR) identifies whether the Airman's promotion record is weighable or non-weighable.
WEIGHABLE PROMOTION RECORD
A weighable record means all the weighted factor data elements [Enlisted Performance Reports (EPR), Decorations, Promotion Fitness Examination (PFE), Specialty Knowledge Test (SKT), Time-in-Grade (TIG) and Time-in-Service (TIS)] are present.
NON-WEIGHABLE PROMOTION RECORD
A non-weighable record means one or more weighted factors are missing from the promotion file. Promotion consideration will not occur until the promotion record becomes weighable. If after the original select run, a non-weighable record becomes weighable, then the Airman receives promotion consideration through the in-system supplemental promotion process.
PROMOTION BOARD WEIGHABLE VERSUS NON-WEIGHABLE RECORD
All eligible Airmen regardless if they have already tested, are currently deployed, etc., will be board-weighable and meet the board. Airman are considered non-weighable for the board when they do not meet the EPR requirements.
