The Air Force is accepting nominations for the 2017 Outstanding Department of Defense Employee or Service Member with a Disability Award.

The award honors civilian and military members with disabilities who supported the DOD mission or overseas contingency operations, and whose activities best demonstrate the core values of their respective military service or DOD component.

A member’s entire career performance is considered the time period for this award.

Organizations and base-level personnel must contact their major command, field operating agency or direct reporting unit for applicable suspense dates and additional information regarding nomination procedures.

Each MAJCOM, FOA and DRU may submit one military and one civilian nomination. Applications are due to the Air Force Personnel Center by April 25.
