NEW: The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) established the Global Military Spouse Connection (GMSC) - an initiative dedicated to connecting Department of the Air Force (DAF) active-duty spouses with career support resources, hiring managers, and AFCS opportunities across the DAF. [NOTE: Eligibility for the initial phase is limited to DAF spouses married to active-duty members with PCS orders to Travis AFB, Patrick SFB, or Ramstein AB.]
In addition, installation M&FRCs provide spouses face-to-face assistance and advice on career readiness, employment opportunities, education and scholarship opportunities, and job search strategies.
DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE REIMBURSEMENT FOR STATE RE-LICENSURE, RE-CERTIFICATION, OR BUSINESS COSTS – Providing financial relief up to $1000 to Airmen and Guardians whose spouses must transfer state occupational licenses, certifications, or business costs. Reimbursement for each qualifying PCS / PCA will not exceed $1,000 for PCS / PCA orders dated 22 Dec 2023 or later for qualifying re-licensing costs and $1,000 for qualifying business costs (up to $2,000 combined).
