Air Force releases senior master sergeant/20E8 promotion cycle statistics

Congratulations to the 1,184 Airmen selected for senior master sergeant in the 20E8 promotion cycle! JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --

Air Force officials have selected 1,184 master sergeants for promotion to senior master sergeant out of 15,544 eligible for a selection rate of 7.62 percent in the 20E8 promotion cycle.

The average overall score for those selected was 407.06. Selectees’ average time in grade was 3.74 years and time in service was 18.08 years.

The senior master sergeant promotion list is available on the Enlisted Promotions page of the Air Force’s Personnel Center website, the Air Force Portal and myPers. Airmen can access their score notices on the virtual Military Personnel Flight via the AFPC secure applications page.

Those selected will be promoted beginning April 1, according to their promotion sequence number.
