Officials announce Flemming award nominees

Seven Airmen have been nominated for the 64th Annual Arthur S. Flemming Award, Air Force Personnel Center officials said.

The Flemming award annually recognizes outstanding federal employees who have made significant and extraordinary contributions to the federal government.

The following Airmen have been nominated in the identified categories:

Leadership and Management: Tech. Sgt. Joshua Church, Air Force District of Washington, and Capt. Timothy Adams, Air Force Space Command.

Social Science, Clinical Trials, and Translational Research: Maj. Travis J. Herbranson, Air Force Space Command.

Applied Science, Clinical Trials, and Translational Research: 1st Lt. Philip Cho, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, and Tech. Sgt. David Carlson, Air Mobility Command.

Basic Science Category: Dr. Richard Vaia, Air Force Materiel Command, and Maj. Nathan Terry, United States Air Force Academy.

Awards will be presented during a June 10 ceremony in Washington D.C.
