Air Force releases latest field grade officer promotions

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --  

The Air Force selected 561 active-duty lieutenant colonels for promotion to colonel during recent CY25A central selection board.

Categories considered during this board include: Line of the Air Force - Air Operations and Special Warfare (LAF-A), Line of the Air Force - Combat Support (LAF-C), Line of the Air Force - Force Modernization (LAF-F), Line of the Air Force - Information Warfare (LAF-I), Line of the Air Force – Nuclear and Missile Operations (LAF-N), and Line of the Air Force - Cross-Functional (LAF-X).

Colonel (O625A) selection statistics:

  • LAF-A 206 selected out of 671 considered.
  • LAF-C 129 selected out of 290 considered.
  • LAF-F 83 selected out of 177 considered.
  • LAF-I 111 selected out of 290 considered.
  • LAF-N 14 selected out of 46 considered.
  • LAF-X 18 selected out of 41 considered.
