The Air Force announced the selection of 220 officers on Nov. 3 for developmental education and career broadening opportunities through Air Force Advanced Academic Degree and Special Experience Exchange Duties programs.

"Special program selections are some of the earliest opportunities for officers to begin building a complementary skill set through advanced academic degree or career broadening programs," said Col. David Slade, the director of assignments at the Air Force Personnel Center.

Each year, Air Force line officers from specific career fields can compete to participate in one of 14 programs that provide targeted developmental education and career broadening. A few of the available programs include the U.S. Air Force Academy Instructor Faculty Pipeline, Education With Industry and the U.S. Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School. Air Force civilians also have the opportunity to participate in the EWI program, and this year's selectees will be announced at a later date.

The selectee list is available on the AFPC public website at http://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil.
