AF seeks nominations for 61st DOD Distinguished Civilian Service Award Published Jan. 13, 2016 By Janis El Shabazz Air Force Personnel Center Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- Air Force officials are accepting nominations for the 61st Annual Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Award. This is the highest award presented to DOD career civilian employees whose careers reflect exceptional devotion to duty and significant contributions of broad scope to DOD operational efficiency, economy or other improvements. Each major command, field operating agency and direct reporting unit may submit one nomination in each category. Organizations and base-level personnel must contact their MAJCOM, FOA, or DRU for applicable suspense dates and nomination procedures. Nominations are due to the Air Force Personnel Center by Feb. 24, 2016. For more information about Air Force personnel programs go to the myPers website.
