Air Force selects 111 for ROTC detachment command

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --  The Air Force identified 111 lieutenant colonels and lieutenant colonel-selects as candidates for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps detachment command.

Special duty command opportunities like this one are highly sought, according to Sundy Muniz, Air Force Personnel Center special duty assignment branch.

"Being selected for ROTC detachment command is a significant achievement for an officer," said Sundy Muniz. "ROTC detachment commanders are the first supervisors and mentors most new Air Force officers will follow. The selection criteria for this position are high because these men and women will develop future Air Force Leaders."
