AFA names 2014 outstanding civilian award winners

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas - --  Air Force officials have announced the winners of the 2014 Air Force Association Outstanding Air Force Civilian of the Year awards.

Each year, the AFA recognizes four Air Force civilian employees for outstanding achievement in any career field. This year's recipients were:

Civilian Wage Employee of the Year - Jerry M. Britt, Jr., Kennel Master, 341th Training Squadron, JBSA-Lackland, Texas

Civilian Program Specialist of the Year - Nancy A. Hansen, Restoration Technician Anaplastologist, 59th Dental Training Squadron, Joint Base-Lackland, Texas.

Civilian Program Manager of the Year - Nicholas Davenport, Lead Engineer and Program Manager, Air Force Network Integration Center, Scott AFB, Illinois.

Civilian Senior Manager of the Year - Daryl R. Kitchen, Global Hawk Product Support Manager, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

The award for the senior manager of the year will be presented in September in conjunction with the AFA 2014 Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition in Washington D.C. Presentations for the civilian wage employee, program specialist and program manager categories will be presented at appropriate state and local chapter ceremonies in coordination with the winner's local commander.

The individuals named above are authorized to wear the Air Force Recognition Ribbon lapel pin.
