3,198 LAF lieutenants selected for promotion

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --  Nearly 3,200 first lieutenants were selected for promotion to captain during the 2013C Line of the Air Force Quarterly Captain Selection Process.

The Air Force considered 3,262 lieutenants for promotion, selecting 3,198.

In the promotion zone:
3,014 selected from 3,051 considered for a 98.8 percent select rate

Above the promotion zone:
184 selected from 211 considered for an 87.2 percent select rate
