JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- The Air Force is seeking nominations for the 2018 Blacks in Government Meritorious Service Award.
This award honors military members and Department of Defense civilian employees who have supported the DOD mission or overseas contingency operations, or whose attributes best epitomize the qualities and core values of their service branch or other DOD component.
Each major command, field operating agency and direct reporting unit may submit a maximum of three nominations; the nomination period for the award can only include contributions performed between April 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.

Organization and base-level personnel must contact their MAJCOM, FOA or DRU for applicable suspense dates and additional information regarding nomination procedures. Packages are due to the Air Force’s Personnel Center no later than April 13.
