Air Force announces officer selection boards results

Air Force officials announced today their selection of 24 lieutenant colonels, 79 majors and 2,754 captains for promotion.

The 2010D Colonel and Lieutenant Colonel (Nurses Corps) and Major (Line of the Air Force and Nurses Corps) central selection boards considered 203 lieutenant colonels, 434 majors and 3,495 captains for promotion.

The results of the boards are as follows:
Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for colonel:
NC - 21 selected from 42 considered for 50 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
NC - 1 selected from 52 considered for 1.9 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for colonel:
NC - 2 selected from 109 considered for 1.8 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
NC - 64 selected from 112 considered for 57.1 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
NC - 8 selected from 73 considered for 11 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
NC - 7 selected from 249 considered for 2.8 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:
LAF - 2,616 selected from 2,935 considered for 89.1 percent select rate
NC - 99 selected from 124 considered for 79.8 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for major:
LAF - 26 selected from 361 considered for 7.2 percent select rate
NC - 13 selected from 75 considered for 17.3 percent select rate
