Air Force announces officer selection boards results

Air Force officials announced today their selection of 516 lieutenant colonels, 52 majors and 109 captains for promotion.

The 2010C Colonel (Line of the Air Force), Lieutenant Colonel and Major (Biomedical Sciences Corps) central selection boards considered 4,149 lieutenant colonel, 352 majors and 132 captains for promotion.

The results of the boards are as follows:
CY10C MAJOR (BSC)
CY10C LIEUTENANT COLONEL (BSC)
CY10C COLONEL (LAF)

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF - 428 selected from 938 considered for 45.6 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF - 11 selected from 909 considered for 1.2 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF - 77 selected from 2,302 considered for 3.3 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
BSC - 45 selected from 80 considered for 56.3 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
BSC - 4 selected from 124 considered for 3.2 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
BSC - 3 selected from 148 considered for 2.0 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:
BSC - 107 selected from 121 considered for 88.4 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for major:
BSC - 2 selected from 11 considered for 18.2 percent select rate
