Officials announce 2009 AFA outstanding Air Force civilians Published Sept. 22, 2009 By Paige Hughes Air Force Personnel Center Public Affairs RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Four Air Force members were recognized as the 2009 Air Force Association Outstanding Air Force Civilian Employees of the Year during the AFA's Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition Sept. 16 in Washington, D.C. Each year, the Air Force Association recognizes four Air Force civilian employees for outstanding achievement in any career field. This year's recipients included: Civilian Wage Employee: Brigido G. Serrano, 355th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Davis Monthan AFB, Ariz. Civilian Program Specialist: Gary J. Parker, 45th Medical Support Squadron, Patrick AFB, Fla. Civilian Program Manager: Kenneth E. Bandy, 77th Aeronautical Systems Wing, Eglin AFB, Fla. Civilian Senior Program Manager: Jeffrey J. Braun, 308th Armament Systems Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Award recipients are authorized to wear the Air Force Recognition Ribbon lapel pin.
