Air Force selects 45 for test pilot training

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  The Air Force selected 45 officers to take part in the service's test pilot program when the test pilot selection board met at the Air Force Personnel Center here in November.

Most of those selected will attend the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. One selectee will attend the U.S. Navy Test Pilot School at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Md. One is slated for the French Test Pilot School at Istres, France. Six others will attend the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, where they will earn a master's degree before continuing on to test pilot school.
