1,318 selected for promotion to major, lieutenant colonel, colonel

The Air Force selected 1,318 captains, majors and lieutenant colonels for promotion, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced today.

Eligible officers were considered during the CY14A Colonel Line of the Air Force Judge Advocate, Lieutenant Colonel LAF/LAF-J and Major LAF-J central selection boards held in March.

To see the promotion lists, go to the Air Force Portal at https://my.af.mil and select the promotion link, or log in to myPers at https://mypers.af.mil, select "Search All Components" from the drop down menu, search for "Active Duty: Officer Promotions Home Page" and scroll down to the promotion select list section.

The boards considered 147 lieutenant colonels, 7,323 majors and 85 captains for promotion.

Selection statistics are as follows:

In-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF-J - 17 selected from 29 considered for 58.6 percent select rate

Above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF-J - 0 selected from 40 considered for 0 percent select rate

Below-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF-J - 1 selected from 78 considered for 1.3 percent select rate

In-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 1,066 selected from 1,591 considered for 67.0 percent select rate
LAF-J - 36 selected from 49 considered for 73.5 percent select rate

Above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 9 selected from 1,274 considered for 0.7 percent select rate
LAF-J - 0 selected from 25 considered for 0 percent select rate

Below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 119 selected from 4,259 considered for 2.8 percent select rate
LAF-J - 1 selected from 125 considered for 0.8 percent select rate

In-the-promotion zone for major:
LAF-J - 68 selected from 81 considered for 84 percent select rate

Above-the-promotion zone for major:
LAF-J - 1 selected from 4 considered for 25 percent select rate

Below-the-promotion zone for major: N/A
