Air Force releases latest field grade officer promotions

CY18B/C/D selection board results; 517 officers selected for field grade ranks

The Air Force has released the names of the 517 officers on the selection lists from the calendar year 18B, CY18C and CY18D central selection boards for field grade officers in the Line of the Air Force, Chaplain, Nurse Corps and LAF-Judge Advocate competitive categories. JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- The Air Force selected 517 active-duty officers for promotion to colonel, lieutenant colonel and major during recent central selection boards.

In total, the Air Force selected 445 lieutenant colonels for promotion to colonel in the calendar year 2018B Line of the Air Force, Chaplain and Nurse Corps CSBs; 59 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel in the CY18D Chaplain and LAF-Judge Advocate CSBs; and 13 captains for promotion to major in the CY18C Chaplain CSB.

Prior to releasing the public list on myPers, the Air Force’s Personnel Center provided senior raters with advance knowledge of their officers’ selection to allow notification through the chain of command.
