Air Force releases staff sergeant promotion cycle statistics

Air Force officials have selected 9,000 senior airmen for promotion to staff sergeant out of 51,717 eligible for a selection rate of 17.4 percent in the 23E5 promotion cycle, which includes supplemental promotion opportunities.

The average overall score for those selected was 336.41. Selectees’ average time in grade was 2.01 years and time in service was 4.56 years.

The promotion list is available on the Air Force Personnel Center public website. Airmen can access their score notices on the virtual Military Personnel Flight via the AFPC Secure page.
