Four Air Force club members won a four-day trip to attend Super Bowl XLVI Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Winners were drawn from nearly 12,000 entries received from Air Force Clubs worldwide during the first 16 weeks of the annual Air Force Services Agency Football Frenzy promotion. Winners received airfare, hotel accommodations, a rental car and two tickets to the game.

The winners were: Lt. Col. Brian Hoybach, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, who took his son, A.J.; Senior Airman Matthew Burt of Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., who took his father, James; retired Maj. Kerry Adams, Beale AFB, Calif., who took his wife, Heather; and retired Master Sgt. Jim Lynch of Patrick AFB, Fla., who took his wife, Pat.

The winners and their guests arrived in Indianapolis Feb. 3. They attended the NFL Experience Feb. 4 and were special guests at a Super Bowl kick-off party Feb. 5. The next day, winners and their guests had a free day to explore the local area. According to Pat, the entire trip was "first class all the way."

"The NFL Experience on Saturday before the big game was amazing; we were able to meet several star players and play interactive games," said Pat, who attends Football Frenzy events with her husband every Sunday at Patrick AFB. "Our seats were phenomenal because we were only about 14 rows behind the goal post."

According to Burt, being an Air Force club member not only allowed him to take a memorable trip with his dad, but it's also a nice way to spend his downtime at Grand Forks AFB.

"My club membership was relatively cheap," Burt said. "I use it for discounts off meals when I attend the club to watch the games and hang out. Other Airmen should consider applying for a membership, especially those at Grand Forks because the club is very close to the dorms."

Although the Football Frenzy promotion more than demonstrates it pays to be a club member, it's just one of several advantages to joining the club, officials said.

"Football Frenzy is a member's reward program," said Fred McKenney, chief of the Air Force food and beverage division at AFSVA. "Only club members are eligible to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Super Bowl. Additionally, members receive discounts on food and beverage programs and are eligible for other member-only programs."

A final "end of season" bonus drawing occurs Feb. 24 when 10 additional club members who entered the Football Frenzy promotion will be selected to receive a $500 gift card.
