AF announces selection process for deputy support group commanders

  • Published
Air Force Personnel Center Officials recently released the selection process and eligibility requirements for officers interested in calendar year 2009 mission support group deputy commander positions.

Following the Air Force chief of staff's force development construct, officers will be matched to positions based on mission requirements, hiring authority input and candidate preferences.

Officers must have a minimum of three years time on station to compete for positions worldwide. Those officers who do not meet the necessary requirements may submit a waiver request signed by their wing commander.

Interested officers must submit a statement of intent and be released from their assignment team before they can be added to the candidates list, which they will remain on through the calendar year 2009 summer assignment cycle. Officers not selected will be released back to their core Air Force specialty code after the cycle.
