The Department of the Air Force (DAF), through the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS), announces the next phase of the Global Military Spouse Connection (GMSC) initiative, expanding the program to additional locations in the United Kingdom and Norway. The expansion builds on the initial pilot and strengthens connections between active-duty DAF military spouses, hiring managers, and federal employment opportunities.

The next phase includes RAF Mildenhall, RAF Lakenheath, RAF Feltwell, RAF Alconbury, RAF Molesworth, RAF Fairford, RAF Menwith Hill, RAF Croughton, and Stavanger AB, Norway. Through targeted outreach, networking opportunities, educational resources, and direct engagement with hiring managers, GMSC provides military spouses with greater access to information and connections as they navigate federal employment pathways.

"Expanding GMSC across these locations gives us an opportunity to reach more military spouses where they live and serve alongside their families," said Enrique “Rick” Jones, GMSC Program Manager. "Our goal is to create stronger connections to DAF career resources, hiring managers, and professional networks so spouses can better understand and pursue federal civilian opportunities."

The GMSC is not a job placement program. It serves as a centralized connection point that helps qualified active-duty DAF military spouses better understand federal employment pathways, available hiring authorities, and career opportunities across the DAF.

"This next phase allows us to learn from a broader overseas community and continue building a model that can support military spouses across the Department of the Air Force," said Michael Grosso. Chief, Mission Readiness. "Each expansion helps us strengthen the program, improve engagement, and create a more connected talent pipeline."

The expansion reflects AFCS’s commitment to attracting and retaining top talent while supporting military families who play a vital role in mission success.
