The calendar year 2015 Test Eagle board, which convened here in August, named 29 lieutenant colonels and lieutenant colonel-selects as candidates for projected 2015 vacancies across Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced.

Candidates selected for command will fill AFMC flight test, test and operational support squadron command vacancies.

"AFMC commanders are at the forefront of developing the next generation of war-winning technology for the Air Force, as well as ensuring the sustainment and improvement of existing platforms that are performing the mission today," said Maj. Michael Jungquist, AFPC test pilot assignments. "They have a critical role of providing leadership and direction to industry and the military acquisition community."

Because there are fewer projected vacancies than command candidates, not all candidates will be matched to a command. However, candidates who are not matched to a command position will remain on the list and are eligible to be considered for unprogrammed vacancies until the CY2016 list is released.
