Vanguard Award nomination window open through January

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --  

The Air Force Personnel Center is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Vanguard Award through Jan. 25.

 

The Non Commissioned Officers Association annually sponsors the award to recognize one enlisted member from each branch of service for a heroic act, on or off duty, which results in saving someone’s life or preventing a serious injury. 

 

Organizations and base-level personnel must contact their major command, combatant command, field operating agency or direct reporting unit for applicable suspense dates and additional information regarding nomination procedures.

 

Complete application procedures and deadlines are available on myPers. From the dropdown menu, select “Any” and search “Vanguard.”
