Air Force officials have selected 5,430 staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant, out of 33,935 eligible, for a selection rate of 16 percent in the 22E6 promotion cycle, which includes supplemental promotion opportunities.

This promotion cycle was impacted due to enlisted grade restructuring, a leveling-off of end-strength growth, and high retention levels. The 22E6 cycle also implements the Promotion Recommendation Score, which places value on the experience of Airmen and sustained superior performance. These changes are part of efforts to increase the experience levels within the noncommissioned officer tier.

The technical sergeant promotion list will be available on the Air Force’s Personnel Center website Enlisted Promotions page, the Air Force Portal and myPers July 20, 2022 at 8 a.m. CDT. Members will also be able to access their score notices on the virtual Military Personnel Flight via the AFPC Secure page.
