JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- The Department of the Air Force selected 397 active-duty U.S. Space Force officers for promotion to colonel, lieutenant colonel and major during recent CY23A central selection boards.
In total, the Space Force selected 48 lieutenant colonels for promotion to colonel (LSF), 154 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel (LSF-O and LSF-F) and 195 captains for promotion to major (LSF-O and LSF-F).

Lieutenant Colonel (F0523A) selection statistics:
- LSF-Operations - 80 selected out of 146 considered.
- LSF-Force Modernization - 74 selected out of 153 considered.
Major (F0423A) selection statistics:
- LSF-Operations - 113 selected out of 138 considered
- LSF-Force Modernization - 82 selected out of 99 considered
