Department of the Air Force releases chief master sergeant and senior master sergeant promotion cycle statistics

Space Force officials have selected 14 senior master sergeants and 25 master sergeants for promotion in the 24S9 and 25S8 promotion cycles, respectively.

The statistics for each cycle:

  • 24S9: Out of 68 eligible Guardians, 20.59% were selected. The average overall score for those selected was 404.21. Selectees averaged 3.04 years in their current grade and 19.42 years of service.
  • 25S8: Out of 435 eligible Guardians, 5.75% were selected. The average overall score for those selected was 395.28. Selectees averaged 4.21 years in their current grade and 17.21 years of service.

The promotion lists are available on the Air Force Personnel Center public website. Guardians can access their score notices on the virtual Military Personnel Flight via the AFPC Secure page.
