2013 World Wide Bowling Program underway Published June 11, 2013 By Gloria Kwizera Air Force Personnel Center Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- Air Force youth around the world can win prizes just by bowling in the 2013 World Wide Bowling program, Air Force Personnel Center officials said today. The program, which started June 1, runs until Aug. 31. It is open to 5-18-year-olds authorized to use Force Support Services facilities. Through the duration of the program one winner from three age categories (5-9, 10-14 and 15-18) will be randomly selected to win a custom bowling ball and bag. "You have to bowl to be eligible for prizes, and you increase your chances of winning the more games you bowl," said Con Fisher, AFPC Child and Youth Specialist. Participants must submit their bowling results through the "Bowl to Win" site, www.usafbowltowin.com. For games to count, participants must bowl at an Air Force Installation or Air Force lead joint base. Participants may bowl as many games as they want as long as they bowl with at least one other person. "Participants do not have to be Air Force Youth Program members to participate, and although family members are encouraged to participate, only youth are eligible for prizes," Fisher said. This is not a United States Bowling Congress Youth-sanctioned event and games cannot be submitted from USBC Youth League play. The intent of the program is to introduce as many youth as possible to the sport of Bowling, Fisher explained.
