Vacancies are tentatively projected in Air Combat Command, Air Education and Training Command, Air Force Space Command/National Reconnaissance Office and National Air and Space Intelligence Center, said Maj. Eric Ettestad, AFPC space and missile officer assignments. The selection board will consider core space operations, scientist, engineer and acquisition officers who meet all criteria. Candidates must be lieutenant colonels with April 1, 2010-Dec. 1, 2012 dates of rank, or lieutenant colonel-selects from the calendar year 2012 promotion board. In addition, candidates must have had at least one space-related assignment - such as a space operations tour, space acquisition program management or space research and development - within the last four years, said Ettestad.
