The Air Force's premier entertainment group, Tops In Blue, is hosting the 2013 Air Force talent competition at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Feb. 4-11.

This event wraps up a year-long search for talented Airmen who will compete for a place on the Tops In Blue 2013 World Tour.

The opportunity was open to all Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard members, regardless of rank or career field. Air Force vocalists, dancers, comedians and instrumentalists submitted applications and videos to the AFPC entertainment team for review.

After review of the applications, the entertainment team selected 80 finalists to attend the competition, and the 2013 Tops In Blue team will be selected from those finalists.
"Not only do applicants have a chance to win the coveted first place prize, fondly called 'Roger', but they also go through a series of interviews and auditions to determine their suitability for the tour," said Jeri White, Tops In Blue production manager. "This is a very special year for us, because 2013 is the 60th Anniversary of Tops In Blue. Airmen selected for this year's team will be part of what we expect to be the biggest and best Tops In Blue show ever," added White.

The talent search culminates in three shows that will feature all of the competitors. The shows will be at the Bob Hope Performing Arts Center, JBSA- Lackland, Feb. 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. Performances are free and open to the public.
