AU reschedules professional development courses

In preparation for the potential of a federal government shutdown, Air University at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, Ala., is rescheduling the Air and Space Basic Course, Evasion and Conduct after Capture, Squadron Officer School, Noncommissioned Officer Academy and Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy courses that were originally scheduled to begin next week.

According to Col. Lori Lavezzi, the Air Force Personnel Center's sustainment division chief, Airmen who have not departed for these courses should stay in place and reschedule their temporary duty assignments for the new course start dates. Members who have already departed will be provided additional information after their arrival at their temporary duty location.

The following classes and courses are rescheduled to start on Apr. 18:
  • SOS Class 11D, AFSNCOA 11-C and ASBC Class 2011C at Maxwell-Gunter AFB
  • NCOA courses at Keesler AFB, Miss., Gunter Annex, Ala., and McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tenn.
ECAC Class 2011C2-2 at Maxwell-Gunter AFB has been rescheduled for May 30.
