Football Frenzy winners named for trip to Super Bowl XLV Published Jan. 31, 2011 By Erin Tindell Air Force Personnel, Services and Manpower Public Affairs SAN ANTONIO -- Four Air Force club members won a trip to attend Super Bowl XLV Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The club members were drawn from nearly 14,000 entries received from Air Force clubs worldwide during the first 16 weeks of the annual Football Frenzy promotion. Winners receive airfare, hotel accommodations, a rental car and two tickets to the game. The winners are: Master Sgt. Jay Peavey of Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D.; Master Sgt. Lea Wright of Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; Master Sgt. Terry Harroun of Offutt AFB, Neb.; and retired Tech. Sgt. John Carpenter of Lackland AFB, Texas. The winners and their guests will travel to Arlington Feb. 3 to be recognized at a welcome breakfast the next morning. They will then enjoy five days in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, attend the Super Bowl and attend a farewell dinner Feb. 8. "Football Frenzy is a member's reward program," said Fred McKenney, chief of Air Force food and beverage division at the Air Force Services Agency. "There are many reasons to be a club member, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like this is just one of them." For Sergeant Peavey and his wife Jennifer, his win was actually "twice-in-a-lifetime." Last year the Peavey's won a local club-sponsored package to Super Bowl XLIV in Miami, Fla. "You just don't think you are ever going to win something like that, and then you do, and then you find out you can win it a second time," Ms. Peavey told the 319th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs office recently. A final "end of season" bonus drawing occurs Feb. 22 when 10 additional club members who entered the Football Frenzy promotion will be selected to receive a $500 gift card.
