AF announces selections to lieutenant colonel, major

The 2010A Lieutenant Colonel Line of the Air Force-Medical Service Corps and 2010A Major Medical Service Corps central selection boards selected 1,236 majors and 63 captains for promotion.

The boards considered 6,272 majors and 75 captains for promotion. The results of the boards are as follows:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF -1,036 selected from 1,406 considered for 73.7 percent select rate
MSC - 32 selected from 46 considered for 69.6 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 41 selected from 1,571 considered for 2.6 percent select rate
MSC - 6 selected from 29 considered for 20.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 119 selected from 3,101 considered for 3.8 percent select rate
MSC - 2 selected from 119 considered for 1.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:
MSC - 63 selected from 66 considered for 95.5 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for major:
MSC - 0 selected from 9 considered for 0.0 percent select rate

The list will be released publicly today at 12 p.m. CDT on the Air Force Personnel Center's website at www.afpc.randolph.af.mil.
