AF officials announce officer promotions to colonel, lieutenant colonel and major

Air Force officials here have selected 84 lieutenant colonels, 164 majors, and 326 captains in the medical and dental corps for promotion Feb. 19.

The entire list can be found on the Air Force Personnel Center's Web page.

The boards considered 531 lieutenant colonels, 568 majors and 335 captains for promotion.

The results of the boards are as follows:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for colonel:
In the medical service corps, 16 were selected from 29 considered for a 55.2 percent select rate.
In the dental corps, 14 were selected from 21 considered for a 66.7 percent rate.
In the medical corps, 38 were selected from 72 considered for a 52.8 percent select rate.

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
In the medical service corps, one was selected from 24 considered for a 4.2 percent select rate.
In the dental corps, none were selected from 39 considered.
In the medical corps, 11 were selected from 94 considered for a 11.7 percent select rate.

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for colonel:
In the medical service corps, one was selected from 51 considered for a 2.0 percent select rate.
In the dental corps, one was selected from 37 considered for a 2.7 percent select rate.
In the medical corps, two were selected from 164 considered for a 1.2 percent select rate.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
In the dental corps, 15 were selected from 16 considered for a 93.8 percent select rate.
In the medical corps, 141 were selected from 143 considered for a 98.6 percent select rate.

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
In the dental corps, none were selected from zero considered.
In the medical corps, none were selected from five considered.

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
In the dental corps, none were selected from 59 considered for a 1.7 percent select rate. 
In the medical corps, seven were selected from 345 considered for a 2.0 percent select rate.

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for major:
In the dental corps, 40 were selected from 40 considered.
In the medical corps, 286 were selected from 292 considered for a 97.9 percent select rate.

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for major:
In the dental corps, none were selected from zero considered.
In the medical corps, none were selected from three considered.
