AFROTC instructor applications due May 30 Published May 18, 2015 By Shelly Petruska Air Force Personnel Center Public Affairs JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- Eligible lieutenants, captains and majors interested in summer 2016 and remaining 2015 AFROTC instructor opportunities must submit their Airmen Development Plan to the Air Force Personnel Center by May 30, 2015. There are 195 instructor positions available between now and summer of 2016 at 124 educational institutions nationwide, said Sundy Muniz, AFPC special duty assignments branch. Applicants must be active duty Air Force line officers with three years' time on station as of September 30, 2016, or be in a mandatory move status during the summer of 2016 or eligible for a return from overseas January-May 2016. "Applicants must have a superior record of performance as ROTC instructors have a significant impact on our AF future leaders," said Muniz. "We need to ensure the most exceptional officers are in these positions." Applicants must be released by their career field assignment team before they can submit an application, and AFPC will let applicants know whether or not they have been released by June 2015.
