Subordinate units assigned directly to parent organizations can share in these awards provided the parent organization identified them as eligible and they contact the parent organization for verification. Airmen assigned to these units during the specified periods should report to their military personnel flight career enhancement section to have their unit awards updated to their records. Verification of eligibility can be accomplished through the Military Personnel Data System or review of military personnel records. Retirees should check with the Department of Veterans Affairs for further assistance. All approved unit awards will be updated on the AFPC Web site no later than March 9.
