Air Force announces captain promotions Published Oct. 20, 2011 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Air Force officials announced Oct. 19, the 2011C Captain Line of Air Force (LAF) Central Selection Board selected 3,009 first lieutenants for promotion to the next higher rank.
