Airmen and Guardians should routinely review and update their virtual Record of Emergency Data (vRED) and Servicemembers’ Online Enrollment System (SOES).vRED is a central repository for emergency contact information should an Airman or Guardian become severely ill, injured, wounded or deceased.

The Pentagon's Hall of Heroes echoed with applause April 8, as four Airmen received the Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award. Maj. Kristen Ober, Capt. Marc D. Esposito, Master Sgt. Thomas R. Johnson and Staff Sgt. Amos Kim were honored for their exceptional leadership qualities, embodying the fundamental values of the U.S. Air Force.

As part of an expansion of a Defense Department pilot program that kicked off in February 2023, most Uniformed Services Identification, or USID, card holders can now renew their cards online and receive them in the mail, instead of having to schedule an appointment at an ID card office.
