  • US, Israel conclude Juniper Falcon 21-2

    In support of long-standing, bilateral agreements, military members from the U.S. European Command and the Israel Defense Forces held exercise Juniper Falcon 21-2 at various locations in Israel, July 23-28.
  • DoD directs employees to start wearing face masks again

    Following guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Defense Department has directed employees working in areas at high risk for transmission to begin using face masks again as a measure to prevent the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, especially the fast-moving, highly-transmittable Delta variant.
  • Andersen AFB provides medical supplies to Cook Islands

    The 36th Contracting Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, has recently awarded two contracts worth a total of $64,000 to provide the Cook Islands with medical supplies needed for COVID-19 relief.
  • COVID-19 pandemic not over, concerns over delta variant growing

    According to the military health system, the delta variant of the COVID-19 virus is more transmittable, causes more severe disease, and results in higher cases of hospitalization and death than any other strain of the virus.
  • Current PCS, household goods affected by supply shortages

    According to a newly released communiqué from the Air Force’s Personal Property Activity Headquarters, “Department of Defense demand this peak (PCS) season has greatly exceeded commercial industry capabilities, largely due to resource constraints associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Per industry, this resulted in a 25% decrease in their labor pool, resulting in (decreased) personal property movement capacity necessary to support private sector and government demand.”
