Wounded Airman visits President Bush, CSAF

Staff Sgt. Scott Lilley, a security forces Airman who was wounded in Iraq, and his parents, were guests of President Bush at the White House Christmas party in December 2008. Sergeant Lilley suffered a severe head wound when his convoy was attacked in Iraq. He was not expected to survive, yet he made a miraculous recovery. In November, he completed the Air Force Basic Instructor Course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Sergeant Lilley also met with Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Norton Schwartz in the general's office. (Courtesy photo)
