Recent revisions to the Air Force Inspection System Security Classification Guide for Use of the Inspector General Evaluation Management Tool and Rating/Grading System, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction 3263.05C, Nuclear Weapons Technical Inspections, have increased the classification of certain inspection grades frequently highlighted in select personnel documents. The Blended Retirement System combines a service member’s traditional legacy retirement pension with distributions from the Thrift Savings Plan, creating a portable retirement option. Increased financial education and training is essential to help Airmen make wise financial decisions, so the Department of Defense launched the BRS comparison calculator, providing BRS opt-in eligible service members their first opportunity for an individualized comparison of retirement systems.
