RETIREE NEWS

  • Meet the 'Baum Squad' - Brothers in Arms

The term ‘Brothers in Arms’ stems from a long-time comradery between service members as they face adversity together and learn to rely on each other like family. For the Baumgartner brothers, that phrase has taken on a more literal meaning that spans three separate generations.

  • Take command: Urgent care now easier to access

As of Jan. 1, 2018, most TRICARE Prime enrollees no longer need a referral for urgent care visits and point-of-service charges no longer apply for urgent care claims. This change replaces the previous policy, which waived referrals for the first two urgent care visits per year.

  • Double check your personnel data

With the New Year just starting you should start it off on the right foot. Now is the perfect time to make sure your personnel records are up to date and correct. These records aren’t just for you. They can affect your career and pay, but they can also affect your family as well.

  • TRICARE changing prescription copayments

Beginning February 1, 2018, copayments for prescription drugs at TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery and retail pharmacies will increase. These changes are required by law and affects all TRICARE beneficiaries except active-duty service members, dependent survivors and medically retired service members

  • MCRP recovers millions for the AF

The Medical Cost Reimbursement Program recovers the cost of medical care rendered to Air Force beneficiaries (active duty, retirees and dependents) as a result of injuries caused by third parties.

  • Urgent care made easy for civilian TRICARE Prime beneficiaries

Referrals for civilian urgent care visits are no longer needed as of Jan. 10, 2018, for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries. Beneficiaries may seek care at an urgent care center without a referral and point of service charges no longer apply if seen without a referral.
