    Technical sergeant 17E6 promotion cycle statistics released

    The Air Force has selected 8,167 staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant out of 25,552 eligible for a selection rate of 31.96 percent in the 17E6 promotion cycle.  Officials selected 1,719 Airmen with a Promote Now recommendation for 21.05 percent of the total selects, 2,268 Airmen with a Must Promote

    The Air Force Selection Board Secretariat has released the calendar year 2018 selection board schedule. The schedule includes dates for master, senior master and chief master sergeant evaluation boards, senior noncommissioned officer supplemental boards, officer selection boards and the command screening board. Board timing
  • The reenlistment and extension ineligibility requirement will be removed from the enlisted professional military education program effective March 15, 2017 according to Air Force officials. The policy adjustment places authority and responsibility for reenlistments back at the squadron level and provides flexibility for commanders to retain high-performing experienced Airmen who meet the Air Force’s mission needs, in line with revitalizing Air Force squadrons.     The reenlistment and extension ineligibility requirement will be removed from the enlisted professional military education program effective March 15, 2017 according to Air Force officials.
